Bing Maps has just released the latest publication of satellite imagery, the largest satellite release to date. This record-setting Aerial release includes new Satellite imagery as well as Global Ortho photography. Over 165 terabytes of new data is now live on Bing Maps; this equates to nearly 40 Million sq km (almost 15 Million sq miles, or over ¼ of the Earth’s landmass.)
This release features imagery over North America, South America, Africa, Australia, Europe and Asia. The total area covered by new satellite imagery in this data release is nearly 38 million square kilometers.
